Devon County Council is responsible for the writing, publishing and updating of the content on this page. Having chosen to invest in including and engaging with dads-to-be, and wanting to encourage new dads to get involved and come forward with questions and issues they have throughout their partner’s pregnancy and beyond, the DadPad App is free to you.

As well as providing general information to fathers and families, the DadPad has been customised to include local Stoke-on-Trent support groups and services, along with links to the Stoke-on-Trent Community Directory which is regularly updated. The DadPad is best utilised as early as possible during pregnancy, around birth and beyond, and provides guidance for babies and children up to the age of two. This will give you time to put your pack to good use and we’re sure you’ll have plenty to keep you busy before then! Kate Cox, Head of Universal Services at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust said: “We are committed to continually improving the maternity experience for families in Stoke-on-Trent so that every child gets the best start in life, so we are delighted to support this fantastic new resource.

This will help individuals to better cope with the physical and emotional strains that fatherhood can place on individuals and relationships. Crucially, the app provides dads with guidance on how to support and seek help (when needed) for their partners and themselves as they adjust to their new roles. The DadPad gives you the knowledge and practical skills necessary to support you and your partner, so that your baby gets the best possible start in life. Dadpad is also available in a hardcopy booklet versions, will shortly be available to support those who do not have access to DadPad digitally and will cover the main topics contained with the DadPad app. You can give your feedback at any time, but ideally we’d like to hear from you from 3-4 months after the birth of your baby.An exciting new parenting resource is being re-launched across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly in 2016. The DadPad app is a useful resource before baby arrives and after baby is born, and is designed to be used as a quick, on-the-go reference tool, allowing new dads to enjoy their babies and feel more confident about fatherhood. Functional Cookies are enabled by default at all times so that we can save your preferences for cookie settings and ensure site works and delivers best experience.
