About this deal

Through palpable tension balanced with glimmers of hope, Hoover beautifully captures the heartbreak and joy of starting over.

Ada’s world is much freer and friend based, but revolves around Harold and her rescue books, plants and furniture. Packed with riveting drama and painful truths, this book powerfully illustrates the devastation of abuse—and the strength of the survivors. Love Your Life is as warm as the Italian sunshine and full of fun: a fabulous Italian appetizer, like a platter of antipasti; a stunning, satisfying mix of romance and real life, with characters whom you will fall in love with and who will leave you smiling with joy.How the coffee at work is horrible… how she once threw a troublesome client file in the bin… If ever there was a bare soul, it’s hers. Well, it starts with a “no” before he backtracks into a “never say never,” bringing Ava around to his side again. There’s nothing to say more because there are so many things to fall in love with this book and take it to Vegetarian restaurant and end your night with creamy gelato! Kinsella’s long career in the rom-com is indicative of the kind of stories she truly wants to put out into the world: those that feature people like you, like your mom, like your best friend, flawed heroines who make the best out of the wild and wacky journeys we all go through—at work, with our families, in love and in life. It's a joyful, hilarious and heart-warming tale of the challenges we face when we sign up to be part of someone else's life.

Having Matt’s POV would have balanced it out some more: we would understand him better, get his unfiltered thoughts on Ava and everything that surrounds her, as well as his thoughts on his family, his ex-girlfriend, and the family business. I’ve read many of Sophie’s books over the past few years, and this was another lovely book to escape into, much needed in the year of a global pandemic and repeated lockdowns. It’s a joyful, hilarious, and heartwarming tale of the challenges we face when we sign up to be part of someone else’s life. She studied music at New College, Oxford, but after a year switched to Politics, Philosophy and Economics. Lily swears she’ll never end up in another abusive home, but when Ryle starts to show all the same warning signs that her mother ignored, Lily learns just how hard it is to say goodbye. Imagine having three life-coaches who had been through the toughest mental and physical challenges; a crack team of problem-solvers who knew in their day job that one mistake could be the difference between life - and death.

Sometimes the characters are just quirky enough, sometimes they’re over-the-top and annoying with it.So when she signs up to a semi-silent, anonymous writing retreat in glorious Italy, love is the last thing on her mind. Her efforts to fit into Matt’s life, no matter where it leads her (sometimes into such awkward situations as a naked sauna with his extended family), are hilarious, but it’s more rewarding to watch her as she learns to take charge of her own life. There she is given the chance to undo her regrets and try out each of the other lives she might have lived. Of course, Leyna never expected that honoring her grandfather's wishes meant opening a second location on her ex's property-or having to ignore Jay's sexy grin and guard the heart he shattered years before. I had so much fun charting Samantha’s comedy disasters in the kitchen, her battles with the ironing board, her gradual slowing down and relaxing and finding love… It’s a story of an uber-professional realizing there’s more to life than work, and starting to appreciate the little things.

Ada has decided the time is now to get serious about writing a romance novel and booked a writing retreat in Italy. When Lily runs into Atlas Corrigan, a childhood friend who also came from an abusive family, she hopes their friendship can blossom into love. And then there's the prickly situation with Matt's ex-girlfriend, who isn't too eager to let him go. The pair believe they have a true connection and profess their love…but then they have to head back to London and reveal who they really are. Love Your Life is expected to be published on October 27, and, after the year we’ve all had, it might be the perfect comic relief. When Jay’s grandfather retires and essentially leaves Jay with the business, the ex-lovers have to work past any weirdness and get their joint venture (a restaurant on the vineyard property) up and running.
