About this deal

The album is noted for its use of the double bass, "crisp" and "live-sounding" drum programming, and "deftly placed samples or electric keyboards. I haven't listened to Midnight Marauders in quite some time, so I wouldn't want to comment on that one, but I do think that Low End Theory sounds great. It states HIP 117, but the single record is marbled orange, has plain white inner sleeve (not the picture sleeve) and has a poster included. The 7" collection is housed in a deluxe, fabric-wrapped 45 singles carrying case, with 360-degree original album art and custom inner wrapped ATCQ logo graphics and group photo.

The album's title, The Low End Theory, referred to both the status of black men in society and bass frequencies in the music, [2] [3] while the album cover featured an altered photograph of a kneeling woman painted in Afrocentric colors. Q-Tip had a cold during the recording process and did not want to sound congested on the album; because of this he wanted to re-record all of his vocals and began doing so before people told him he sounded "fine" and convinced him otherwise. The record became beloved of fundamentalist b-boys because it rooted itself firmly in the music's core sonic, conceptual, lyrical and artistic values, yet managed to increase the band's appeal to listeners who generally shunned rap for sonic or ideological reasons. It's here on exclusive 2LP Green + Red colored vinyl, plated at Welcome to 1979 and pressed at GZ, with lacquers cut by Ryan Smith at Sterling Sound. Rare import remastered NRP cut issue of this truly dope Hip Hop album feat 'Excursions', 'Verses From The Abstract', 'Jazz' and 'Scenerio'. George also credited Q-Tip and Phife Dawg for "trading lines like psychic sparring partners", as they "pause, interject, charm and challenge with understated aplomb.

Producer Pete Rock created the original beat for the second single, "Jazz (We've Got)", before it was recreated by Q-Tip, who credited Rock in the outro of the song. Like its predecessor it combined humour with insight to show the world that 'rap' needn't be equated with the worst aspects of the American dream. Supported by the lead single " Check the Rhime", The Low End Theory debuted at number 45 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album introduced the lyrical interplay and chemistry between Q-Tip and Phife Dawg, the latter of whom experienced a lyrical breakout.

In addition, the group was praised for its "departure towards a live instrumental sound" and for using "jazz-infused samples with fat hardcore beats. Second studio album from the trio of Q-Tip, Phife Dawg, and Ali Shaheed Muhammad originally released in 1991 is considered one of the best hip-hop albums of all time. They not only reissued all of their classic singles, but all of the albums as 2 LP sets for the best fidelity possible and faithfully reproducing the artwork. In 2020, it was ranked at number 43 on Rolling Stone 's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. The group wanted to begin recording the album shortly after the completion of People's Instinctive Travels, for which they still had to tour and film music videos.

The Low End' sounds minimal in comparison and is a mostly drum’n’bass record of subtle bells and whistles. The Low End Theory was one of the first records to fuse hip-hop with the laid-back atmosphere of jazz, particularly bebop and hard bop. After his solo set each night, Tip will be coming back out his original musical partners to perform all their Tribe classics in addition to his own hits and new tunes from The Renaissance. The Low End Theory is celebrated as the closest and most brilliant fusions of jazz atmosphere and hip hop attitude ever recorded.

International products have separate terms, are sold from abroad and may differ from local products, including fit, age ratings, and language of product, labeling or instructions. Acclaimed as one of the best 100 albums of all time by Rolling Stone, The Low End Theory remains one of hip hop's defining moments and deserves to be in everyone's record collection. Producer 9th Wonder described the album as his "personal soundtrack" while growing up, also stating that the group "changed my life.
