Marc Jacobs Dot Eau de Parfum - 50 ml
About this deal
Even if the childish bottle is not in the slightest appealing (to me), I tried it, of boredom if not of interest. That being said, I've seen a few people who are really angry about this comparison, perhaps because they don't quite understand that similar does not mean the same. I know a lot of people are very disappointed with this fragrance, but I have never smelled anything like it, and there is no perfume that fits me better. The dry downs are similar here, although Reaction doesn't have the bread-like quality I smell in Dot. i borrowed it from a friend a few years ago and fell in love with it, finally got around to getting a bottle myself - never looked back.
It kind of gets hard to tell notes from another, but the dry down is just less fruity than the opening notes.too bad, but then again, I really just bought it for the cute bottle because it reminded me of a lady bug. Marc Jacobs Dot Eau de Parfum is a delicate perfume which blends red berries with orange and jasmine blossom on top of a creamy vanilla, driftwood and sensual musk. This was my signature for the first two years of high school (though when I use it, I spray a lot less on now! I’ve had this since senior year of high school and I always try to find it and repurchase it when I run out.
Oh I know it's ridiculously fruity and the bottle is over the top, but IMO it is incrediby unique, and I just HAD to have this the moment I got a whiff from a paper strip. I got a small tester from a friend and I have absolutely enjoyed the Dot but to think I would have to spend so much money for something that doesn't have a great projection and doesn't last long?My husband bought me this when we were first dating because he had smelled it on a (younger) woman at work and thought it smelled nice. It is a very generic fresh perfume, nothing special at all, similar to all MJ perfumes I tried to date. Red berries and exotic dragon fruit set the tone for Mark Jacobs’ sweet and enticing Dot perfume, which also includes a hint of honeysuckle.
In late high school, I remember the girl with the locker beside mine having an array of Marc Jacobs perfumes that she would cycle through. The scent becomes very slightly sweeter on skin with time, probably the vanilla and musk coming in to play, but on clothes it stays mostly fruit on me.I always thought that it was light to the point where only I can smell it on myself, but I was very wrong.
A delicate, fruity, white floral [that I would almost describe as aquatic or ozonic] drying down into a soft vanilla musk. I guess it must be obvious to absolutely EVERYONE that Dot an I were made for one another, because EVERY. It smells youthful, the perfect amount of sweet and fruity, and just gives off "living my best life". I wouldn’t see myself having this ladybug bottle on my nightstand 😂 The longevity seems to be good, I kept the tester strip and it smells quite strong even after 24 hours.
It is a mature version of Ralph and Be Delicious , with a gentle touch of red berries, and a balanced mixture of jasmine as well as other other floral scents. Always surprising, her scent opens with a cheeky wink before an ultra feminine heart flutters with excitement. Overall not a bad scent, fruity, sweet, I think it's suitable for the younger generation though (13-17) as it's cheap and a bit bubble-gum smelling (and if I'm rude slightly toilet-spray-esque. Though in general I like Marc Jacob's perfumes I have a really big problem with how expensive his fragrances are as their longevity isn't that great.
